A "valley" is formed due to the erosion of river and it appears to be in ‘v’ shape. Due to the action of fault or rift, a "rift valley" is created on a "divergent plate boundary". Due to this, crusts are spread over a long area which results in erosion and deepens the rift. Between two highlands like a "rift valley" is formed. "Narmada River" lies between "satpura and vindhya" ranges in Maharashtra, "Tapti River" between "Satpura & Anantha" hills Mahi River in another ranges and "Damoder River" in "chota Nagpur" plateau
