After massive floods in Kerala in 2018, Kerala government had to take steps to rebuild Kerala.The first and foremost task was to manage waste. In this process the work started from local Panchayat.

• Recycling of debris

• Excise duties were increased on liquor

• Special attention on reconstruction of roads.

• State tried to raise revenue through various resources like market borrowing, land and real estate

• Lottery tickets were announced worth Rs.250

• Reconstruction of dams  

• Rehabilitation of people living near the riverside.

Thus various measures were undertaken to rebuild the economy of flood affected state Kerala.

The List of Strategies adopted for the reconstruction after the 2018 Kerala Floods are as follows :

i)       Rebuilding the partially damaged houses.

ii)       Construction of New houses for completely shattered houses.

iii)     Providing household articles for the houses.

iv)     Supply of basic needs of provisions for food.

v)      Supply of books and stationery for children to get back to schools and colleges.

vi)     Providing clothes to all the distressed.

vii)   Help in disposing of all wastes.
