I think the disk slides, skims, along the top of the water for passing and shooting. So fun to see a flick of a pass and the disk zip quickly and travel far. This plays a bit like a puck on an air hockey table as they slide on the surface on puffs of air. The SKWIM disk is a technical sports toy the is engineered to do this.
