the one major difference is Answer: Manuscriptswere usually written on palm leaf, or on the specially prepared bark of a tree known as the birch, which grows in theHimalayas, while inscriptions were engraved either on a stone surface or on bricks or metals.

Manuscripts- They were written by hand this comes from Latin word 'manu' Meaning hand. These were usually written on the specially pre parked bark of a tree know as the birch.

Inscriptions- These are writing on relatively hard surfaces such as stone or metal.
