PHYSICAL CHANGE

  • Physical changes are reversible
  • No new substance is formed in Physical change.
  • Physical change is a temporary change.
  • No energy is produced.
  • Physical changes only affect the Physical properties I.e, shape,size ,etc

CHEMICAL CHANGE

  • Chemical changes are irreversible.
  • A new substance with new properties is formed in Chemical change.
  • Energy is produced.
  • Chemical changes affect both physical and Chemical properties.

EXAMPLE FOR CHEMICAL CHANGE:Digestion of food,burning of coal.

EXAMPLE FOR PHYSICAL CHANGE:Melting of wax,Freezing of water.
