Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, (born in October 15, 1931) was an Indian aerospace scientist who served as the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007. He was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering.
- Dr Kalam's contribution in making India's first indigenous Satellite Launch Vehicle.
- Dr Kalam lead the development of Indigenous Guided Missiles at DRDO.
- Dr Kalam converted India into a nuclear weapon state by guiding multiple nuclear tests.
