There are 3 types of plastids.

1) chloroplasts: they are green plastids and contain pigment of chlorophyll. They are known as the kitchen of the cell

2) Chromoplasts: they are plastids other than green colour.

3) Luecoplasts: they are colourless plastids and store starch and other nutrients.
