If this question is asked to the person who don't follow Gandhi then my answer will be like this

1)Gandhi's Mass Revolution was all Fail... Where as his small revolution like like salt revolution or Salt Satyagraha was successful but Gandhi is mass leadership was not that much good to make India free Gandhi's contribution will be more in killing than in saving because the theory of ahinsa having many loopholes in it like what he tells his Self defence is also a crime where I think Self defence should be there just example if I am hunting a lion so what he will do you will do a self defence only so Self defence is important first heating anyone or first using your power on any small creature or a poor person or a small person is wrong that is real violence but Gandhi's non-violence theory is not acceptable by me next if Gandhi sits on a hunger strike in every week for every decision for everything why Gandhi did not sit on hunger strike when Jinnah told he want a separate Pakistan why Gandhi was not doing anything at that time Gandhi give 75cr to the Pakistan was having many less population where is India with a large population Gandhi and Congress mens at that time just want the power in the hand and there were playing safe Britishers have a mind at Gandhi is not our enemy whereas the revolutionaries who used the weapons where the real enemy of the Britishers if violence is such a bad thing in the history is written by the sword only if Shivaji Maharaj old have a plan of nonviolence and how come he can build hindavi Swaraj I am a person who do not support Gandhi and I have the right to speech in India that's why I can post this to you where as if you ask me Gandhi's Assassination was right or wrong so I will say it was right because Gandhi was fell in his own love Gandhi was seeing everywhere what is things is happening let me show you that when India got independence after 2 or 2 and half years of Independence the Prime Minister of Britain at the time said it was Bose not Gandhi so if you ask me that can you tell me the efforts taken by the Garam Dal that means the Revolutionary using the weapons so who used weapons contribution in India's freedom is more where is like Gandhi he just ended his Non-Cooperation Movement because some Revolutionary some some people burnt the police station at Chori Chora but it was a self defence he was not seeing that the mens are killed by the same policeman's so what I think is Gandhi's contribution is is unforgotable but at the same time we should also know the real Gandhi and what I think is we should take something from Gandhi and something from the garam revolutionaries from Dandiya I take only one thing that be with Truth non violence definition for me it's not hurting any weak man any weak creature in front of me but will not listen if anyone hurts me or my country so I hope it was not contribution what I text but what I think about Gandhi it was so I hope you will comment on this thank you

Answer:

Gandhi's contribution to the Indian freedom movement cannot be measured in words. He, along with other freedom fighters, compelled the British to leave India. His policies and agendas were non-violent and his words were the source of inspiration for millions.
