Functions of hypothalamus gland

• Hypothalamus is a small structure at the Base of the brain.

• It regulates many body functions, including appetite and body temperature.

• It regulates the pituitary gland.

Function of pituitary gland

• The pituitary gland is the master gland of the body.

• The main function of the pituitary gland is to secrete the hormone in the blood stream.

• The hormones regulate the functions of the body like growth, reproduction and blood pressure.

• These hormones affect the thyroid, reproductive and adrenal glands of the body.

Function of pineal gland

• Pineal Body is a small, flat, white granule, which is located on the hollow vendor on the middle of the densphalone in the forebrain.
• It is also known as epiphysis cerebelli.
• This gland releases hormone called melatonin, which affects the growth of testes and ovaries.
• The secretion of this hormone is more in sunlight. Due to the presence of sunlight in the eyes of the blind, the release of this hormone is high and there is sexual maturation before time.

Note ☞ If the pineal work is removed from the body, then the growth of the ovaries stops.
