covid 19 and influenza are dissimilar :

The speed of transmission is the important point of difference between the two viruses. Influenza has shorter influence median incubation period and or shorter serial interval than covid-19 virus the serial interval for the Corona virus is 5 to 6 days viral. For the influenza virus the serial interval is three days that means the influenza virus spread faster than the Corona virus.
