Basic radical is the ion formed after removal of hydroxide ion ( OH⁻ ) from a base .
For Example :- NaOH ⇔Na⁺ + OH⁻ , here Na⁺ ion is basic radical .
Similarly some basic radicals are :
Base --> Base radical
1. NaOH --> Na⁺ (univalent)
2. KOH -->K⁺ (univalent)
3. Mg(OH)₂ -->Mg²⁺ (bivalent)
4.Be(OH)₂ -->Mg²⁺ (bivalent)
5. Ca(OH)₂ -->Ca²⁺ (univalent)
6. CsOH --> Cs⁺ (univalent)
7. H₂O --> H⁺ (univalent)
