Harmful effects of microorganisms are as follows:-

1. Some certain bacterias cause different types of diseases such as typhoid, cholera, diarrhoea etc .
2. Some fungi cause various types of diseases in plants and animals.
3. Algae that grow near water source, can be very harmful. When they die , they release very poisonous substances which may kill the aquatic organisms.
4. Some protozoans cause Pyorrhoea , sleeping sickness etc .
5. Some viruses cause small pox, hepatitis, flu , rabies etc.
