The successful achievements of the national assembly from 1789 to 1791 were as follows :—
- One of the most successful achievements of the nation assembly was the adoption of the declaration of the rights of man and citizen which upheld the quality of all before law, eligibility for of all for public offices, freedom from rest on punishment without a proven cause and right to freedom of speech and expression.
- It also laid emphasis that the burden of taxation must be borne by all without any distinction and so nobles and classy were denied special privileges.
- A new constitution was formed providing a constitutional monarchy where are the powers of the monarch unlimited and the legislative powers are given to the national assembly.
