Emergency Management: Much as the rise of data visualization has enhanced situational awareness during emergency situations, AR can improve responders’ knowledge of their surroundings in order to rescue residents in need. Residents could plot their locations on an interactive map distributed to responders, which would then show EMS workers the safest rescue routes and identify particularly hazardous areas.

2. Virtual Exploration - Everyone has seen this be it Google Maps or Google Earth. You can see the Eiffel Tower sitting halfway across the world. This can be further made better by the use of VR, you can see 360° surroundings and move around.  
3. Special Learning - VR has the potential to help students with special needs. This can be done because in Virtual Reality you can control all the aspects of it. An example is that blind students can have a more acoustic experience such that they can navigate themselves with audio cues.
