✴NEUTRALIZATION REACTION ✴
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

✨The Reaction between an acid and a base is called a neutralization reaction. This is because when an acid reacts with a base , they nullify each other's effect thus, leading to the byproducts that are Salt and water .

It can be represented by the following equation:

ACID + BASE ---------------------------------------------------- SALT + H2O

✴APPLICATIONS ✴
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

✨When a person suffers from Acidity , he is advised to take Antacid tablets . This is because the basic nature of antacid nullifies the excessive acid .

✨When an ant bites , be apply calamine solution. As the formic acid of the ant is nullified by the basic nature of calamine solution.
