) The path taken by the nerve impulse in a reflex action is called as reflex arc. The path followed is:

Stimulus → Receptor → Sensory Neuron

                                                  (Sensation)

                                                           ↓

                                                 Interneuron

                                                 (Processing)

                                                           ↓

Response  ← Effector   ←  Motor Neuron

                                                  (Response)

 2)  Reflex action is mainly controlled by spinal cord as these are very quick action which do not require thinking. Brain has no direct role in reflex action but brain will recieve sensory input while reflex action occurs.

Following are the components of reflex arc-
1. Receptor organ-
Present in skin, muscle etc.
2. Sensory neuron-
Present in sensory nerve in dorasal root of spinal cord.
3. Association neuron-
Present in spinal cord nd connect the sensory neuron with motor neuron.
4. Motor neuron -
Present in motor nerve in ventral root of spinal cord.
5. Effecter organ-
The organ that shows immidiate response to such stimuli..

There is no much role of brain in reflax action. Several external action are not under the control of our will nd brain, these called involuntary action. Such involuntary action is response to the sudden external stimuli occurring in our daily life called reflax action.

I hope it helps you
