Answer:

Difference between Maps and Globe

Maps:

1. Gives two dimension picture of some regions of the world.

2. Easy to use and is portable.

3. Places can be easily ‘identified’ in map.

Globe:

1. Gives a three-dimension presentation of the whole world.

2. Not easy to use.

3. Not easy to identify the places.

EXPLANATION:

The map gives a distorted view of a place since it is flat, whereas the globe presents a global image since it is round in shape. The map shows the ‘physical features’ of the region of the world on a ‘plane surface’.

Globe is in shape of the earth and it shows the accurate places and areas with directions and distance....

Answer:

There are really only three differences between maps ... Both a map and a globe are pictures of a real place - the Earth (or part of it). They often use similar colors and symbols, as you see if you compare the map below to the globe above: ... Topological maps and globes, for example, look quite different.

A globe is a three-dimensional sphere while a map is two-dimensional.

The globe represents the whole earth, whereas a map may represent the whole earth or just a part of it.A globe is a three-dimensional sphere while a map is two-dimensional.
