Given : A= { x : x ԑ Z and x² ≤ 4 }

To Find :  List the elements of the following set.

cardinality of the set A

Solution:

A= { x : x ԑ Z and x² ≤ 4 }

x² ≤ 4

=> x ≤ |  2 |

=>  -2  ≤  x  ≤ 2

Hence  = A = { - 2 , - 1 , 0 , 1 , 2 }

5 elements in set

n(A) = 5

cardinality of the set A  = n(A)  =   5
