1. Number of coils- the emf generated in the DC machine is directly proportional to the number of coils, the more the number of the coil the more the strong emf gets generated.
2. Surface area of the coil- This factor is inversely proportional to the emf generated in the DC machine.
3. Magnitude of the magnetic field- The more the strong magnetic field is used the more the emf gets generated.
4. Emf get also affected due to the induced currents.
