These are the factors that favoured the British to win the wars with regional power in India, At the time of british rule India is divided into many sub regional rulers, There is no Unity between all the rulers.

British take the advantage of this and make some rulers in their favour. British have modern weapon and well trained army person.

1. Lack of Unity: The princely states were at war with each other and wanted to annex each others’ territories . The British benefited by this by using the policy of divide and rule. Also there were people who were always ready to betray their own land .

2. Resources : Due to the presence of a large and disciplined army   which was well equipped, the British were always at an advantage at war. They were easily able to defeat the regional powers by plotting against them and defeating at the battlefield .
