List the factors which affect the rate of evaporation and explain their effect on it .

rate of evaporation is affected by following factors:-
1) Surface area of liquid- evaporation is an surface based process so more the surface area more will be the rate of evaporation
2) Nature of liquid- evaporation also depend upon the nature of liquid as some liquid like acetone evaporates very quickly
3) humidity- humidity is the amount of water vapour present in thr surrounding so if there is more watwr vapour it would not allow anymore to come and hence it slows dowm the rate of evaporation. More the humidity less the rate of evaporation
4) temperature- as more temperature evaporates the present water vapour ie reduces humidity therefore it increase rate of evaporation.
