the constitution has three main function

: first it create a national government consisting of legislative, an excutive and judicial branch with a system of check and balance among three branches..

: secound, it divide the power between the federal government and the state.

: third main purpose of the comstituion is to protect the personal liberty of citizen from intrusion by the government..
