Himalayas :- are composed of snow and ice cover.the glaciers in this region are the source of perennial rivers.the great rivers Ganga,Indus and brahmaputra their tributeries made this region very fertile and useful for the growth of food crops and cash crops.


Peninsular :-the peninsular plateaus is surrended by the sea on the three sides. the peninsular plateau consists of two broad divisions  i. the center highland and the deccan plateaus. the rivers in this region are not perennial..
