1) By introducing MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Emplozment Guarantee Act) 2005 which aims to provide 100 days of wage emplowment to every household .

2) Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) is another scheme started in 1993 to create self emplyment.
