Cell size is limited by a cell's surface area to volume ratio . A smaller cell is more effective and transporting materials, including waste products ,than a larger cell . Cells come in many different shapes. All functions carried out in the body depends upon cells

Answer:- different shapes of cells are often related to the different functions they perform like human red blood cells are circular and biconcave, for easy passage through blood capillaries and to transport oxygen, nerve cells are long to conduct "impulse" from distant parts of the body to the brain and vice-versa, etc. So the shape of the cell depends upon their function on which how they performed.
