Protons, neutrons, and electrons are the three main subatomic particles found in an atom. Protons have a positive (+) charge. An easy way to remember this is to remember that both proton and positive start with the letter "P." Neutrons have no electrical charge.

an atom is made up electrons, protons and neutrons. Electrons are present in the outer shells whereas protons and neutrons are found in nucleus. Charge on nucleus is neutral and charge on electrons depends on the movement of electrons i.e. sharing of electrons with other atoms to make compound.
