Homogeneous mixtures:
They have uniform compositions. The
components of homogeneous mixtures are not
physically distinct. Salt in water, sugar in water
are examples of homogeneous mixtures.
Heterogeneous mixtures:
They contain physically distinct parts and have
non-uniform compositions. Mixtures of sodium
chloride and iron filings, salt and sulphur, and oil
and water are examples of heterogeneous
mixtures.
