Answer: Hey mate!
Here are the positive points that India has so far achieved for public healthcare services:
- India is among the largest producers and exporter of medicines as well as doctors!
- An approximate of 15,000 doctors qualify each year!
- Many tourists from countries spanning in this world come to India to attain special treatments or medicines that might provide them more cheaply than it does in their own countries!
- Healthcare facilities have had a development too! In 1950, when there were only around 3000 hospitals, and in 1991, when there were around 11000, in 2000, there are around 18,218 hospitals!
- India is also the beholder of the largest medical colleges in the world!
⬆⬆So, these are the positive points India has so far achieved! Yet, there are many other negative points about this too!
Look at this:
- India isn't able to provide adequate food (health) to all children in India and so those children are undernourished.
- Doctors mainly settle in Urban areas and the denizens in rural have to travel soooo far away distances to get to them!
- More than 2 million cases of malaria are reported each year!
- Almost 5 lakh people die of Tuberclosis every year!
hope helps ;)
