1) all matter is consists of small , invisible particles called atoms (atoms come from latin word Atmos which means uncut).
2) atoms of the same element are similar in shape and mass but differ from atoms of other elements.
3)atoms of different elements are combine with each other in fixed ratio to form compound atoms. (law of definite proportion)

2.Atoms can't be divided.
3.Atoms can neither be created nor destroyed.
4.Atoms are of various kinds .
