Explanation:

1. A colloid appears to be homogeneous but it is actually a heterogeneous mixture.

2. Most of the particles of a colloid cannot be seen under a microscope.

3. A colloid cannot be seperated by filtration.

4. It scatters the beam of light passing through it ( it means that it shows tyndall effect.)

5. The size of the colloid particles is smaller than those in a suspension but larger than those in a true solution. The size of colloid particles is between 1 nanometer and 100 nanometer in diameter.
