The properties of magnetic field lines are as follows:

  • Magnetic field lines do not intersect with each other.
  • They emerge from the North Pole and terminate at the South Pole.
  • Inside the magnet, the direction of the field lines is from the South Pole to the North Pole.

Answer:

  • A magnetic field lines is an imaginary curve along which a free unit north pole tends to move.

▪︎Magnetic field lines always starts from north pole and end on south pole

The tangent to the magnetic field lines at any point gives the direction of magnetic field at that point.

▪︎Two magnetic field lines never intersect each other.

▪︎It is vector quantity.

▪︎They always form closed loops.

▪︎Magnetic field lines passing through unit area around a point w.r.t. the strength of the magnetic field at that point is called Magnetic flux density.

OR

Magnetic field lines are representation of magnetic field.

Magnetic field lines forms closed loops.

They contact laterally.

They behave like stretched elastic rubber strings.

Magnetic fields lines always form closed loops.

Magnetic field lines do not intersect each other.

More the number of magnetic field lines, more strong in the magnetic field.
