Because of deforestation, many animals lose their habitat and food chains are also disrupted.
Now, the reasons are:
- The forests are cut to obtain materials like wood for making paper, doors etc.
- They are also cut to get the land to construct buildings, roads etc.
- Since population is increasing day by day, they are also cut to obtain land for cultivation to feed the growing population.
- They are also cut down to obtain fuel as wood also acts as fuel.
