The Constituent Assembly that wrote the Indian constitution had 299 members. The Assembly adopted the constitution on 26th November 1949 but it came into effect on 26th January 1950.

1️⃣The constituent assembly represent the people. It is not elected by the people but the people of different cast, language, region, gender and so on. So they have different ideas. So the assembly represent the people of our country.

2️⃣The constituent assembly work in a systematic manner, open and consensual manner.

3️⃣The constituent assembly which has drafted our constitution does not reflect the views of the members but the whole country.
