the formed elements are so named because they are enclosed in a plasma membrane and have a definite structure and shape. all formed elements are cell except for the platelets which are tiny fragment of tiny of bone marrow cells.

▪as you know the main function of the blood is to carry oxygen so that the surface area of the cells will increase and more oxygen can be carried by the sell the
▪cells also lack nucleus this is because as you know nucleus takes up a very large space in the cell so the ability to carry Oxygen will be reduced in the presence of the nucleus so there is no nucleus also
