there are three types of blood vessels ―
● arteries
● veins
● capillaries.

◆ Arteries - carry blood away from the heart as the heart pumps blood into the arteries, the blood flows rapidly and at a high pressure.

◆ Capillaries - arteries branches into smaller and smaller arteries and finally into capillaries.
Capillaries are the thinnest blood vessels, about as thin as a strand of your hair. they have very thin walls through which oxygen, digested food, carbon dioxide and other waste products are exchanged between the blood and the surrounding cells.

◆ Veins - the capillaries join up to form the veins , which carry the blood back to the heart, veins have thin walls. thy have.

There are three main types of blood vessels in the human circulatory system. They are:-

➡ ARTERIES:- Arteries are blood vessels that carry oxygen rich blood from the heart to all parts of the body. They are thick walled as blood flows at high pressure. They are placed deeper under the skin.

➡ VEINS:- Veins carry deoxygenated blood from body parts to heart. Veins are situated just under the skin and can be seen easily as greenish blue tubes on your hands and legs. Veins are thin walled and they have valves to prevent backward flow of blood.

➡ CAPILLARIES:- Capillaries are tiny branches of blood vessels which connect arteries with veins. Exchange of materials take place through the thin walls of capillaries.
