The various steps in a food chain are as follows.
Producers=>Primary consumers=>Tertiary consumers=>Decomposers.
Producers-These are the organisms which maek the food by inorganic materials like carbon dioxide, water etc.
organisms included in this level include green plants(except some plants like venus flytrap) and some algae.
Primary consumers-These are the organisms which eat primary level organisms.Eg. goat, cow, etc.
Tertiary consumers-These are the organisms which consume primary consumers which include tiger, lion etc.
Decomposers- Th is chain consist of those organisms which decompose rotten flesh, or biodegradable debris.
Eg. fungus.
