a mixture is said to be homogeneous if the solute particles are dissolved completely.for example sugar in water ,salt in water these are soluble in water are called true solution...but a mixture is said to be heterogeneous If the size of solute particles are not completely dissolved.for example chalk and water ,muddy water et cetera .......

Homogeneous mixture
- Components mixed are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture.
- They are called solutions.
- It can't be judged by seeing it.
- Components can't be seperated easily.
- Example :- Mixture of alcohol and water.
Heterogeneous mixture
- Components are completely mixed and the particles can be seen under microscope.
- Distributed non uniformly.
- It can be judged by seeing it.
- Components can be seperated easily.
- Example :- Mixture of NaCl and sand.
