By applying weedicides like 2,4- D..(but now a days it is not preferrable),by labour through hand hoe,by applying recommended varieties of chemicals ...Hope this helps u

1) Mechanical method:
Weeds can be removed by tilling or ploughing the soil before sowing.
Very often weeds reappear after the crop has grown, in this case weeds have to be physically removed by using a khurpi , uprooting by hand , or by cutting them very close to ground.
2)Chemical method:
Weeds can be killed by spraying certain chemicals called weedicides like 2-4 D. The over usage of these chemicals will be harmful to the main crop
3)Biological Method:
In view of the problems associated with the use of weedicides , farmers use organism like insect that feed on the weed and not on the crop.
