Tenzing Norgay was a mountaineer and one of the first two individuals to reach the top of Mount Everest. He, along with Edmund Hillary, celebrated reaching the top of Mount Everest in the following ways:

• Tenzing dug a hole in the snow and in it, he put some food as a gift for the mountain gods.
