Answer:
Pepsin and trypsin are two types of proteolytic enzymes secreted by the digestive system in order to digest proteins
Answer:
1. Pepsin is secreted in the stomach, but trypsin is secreted in the small intestine.
2. Glucose can be broken down in two ways in the absence of oxygen or in anaerobic conditions:
(i)First step is breakdown of glucose molecule into pyruvate which takes place in cytoplasm.
(ii) The anaerobic breakdown in bacteria is called Fermentation. During fermentation, pyruvate is broken down to ethyl alcohol and CO2
Whenever there is lack of oxygen in our muscle cells (due to excessive exercise), pyruvate is broken down to lactic acid. Very less amount of energy is released in both the above cases.
3. a: Blood Circulation- Arteries carry blood away from the heart to the tissues of the body. Veins carry blood from the tissues of the body back to the heart.
b. Blood Type- Arteries carry oxygenated blood expect pulmonary artery. Veins carry deoxygenated blood except pulmonary vein.
c. Thickness- Arteries have thick elastic muscular walls. Veins have thin non elastic less muscular walls.
5. 6CO2+ 12H2O - C6H12O6+ 6H2O+ 6O2
