Arteries and Veins (Distinguish ) :

1)Arteries are the blood vessels which carry blood away from the heart where as veins are the blood vessels which carry blood away from the heart.

2) Arteries are thick walled blood vessels and Veins are thin-walled blood vessels.

3) Arteries are situated deep inside the body and The veins are situated superficially in the body.

4)Arteries do not have valves and the veins have valves to prevent backflow of the blood.

5)Except pulmonary artery all Arteries carry oxygenated blood. Except pulmonary vein all veins carry deoxygenated blood.
