i ) They wanted freedom from the British.

British rulers ruled us for almost 200 years till 1947,when we got our independence.

In the independence war with Britishers many leaders showed up.Gandhiji was one of them.

The things that Gandhiji and his followers demanded from the British rulers were;


1) Independent electoral system for us.

2)Total independence in terms of political aspects.

3) Rights to use Indian manufactured goods without any restrictions.
