Natural Fibre:

            The natural fibre, any hairlike raw materials directly obtainable from an animal, vegetables, minerals sources and convertible into nonwoven fabrics such as felt or paper, after spinning into yarns, into woven cloth.

        eg., cotton, silk, wool, jute, and hemp.

Jute:

  • Jute is a long, soft , shiny bast fiber that can be spun into coarse, strong threads.
  • It is produced from flowering plants in the genus Corchorus, which is in the mallow family Malvaceae.
  • Jute is the name of the plant or fibre  used to make burlap, hessian or gunny cloth.
  • Jute is one of the most affordable natural fibres, the second only to cotton in the amount produced and variety of uses.

Uses:

  • To make sacks and cloth for wrapping bales of cotton,
  • Geo-textiles,
  • Pulp and paper,
  • Household products,
  • Non-woven textiles.

Cotton:

  • Cotton is a soft , fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaeae.
  • The fiber is almost pure cellulose, and can cotain minor percentages of waxes, fats, pectins and water.

Uses:

  • In home, it finds its use in bedsheet and curtains.
  • Its seed oil is used in food and cosmetics.
  • It is also used in coffee filters.
  • Its  seeds are fed to the cattle and crushed to make oil, rubber and plastics.
  • It is basically used for every type of clothing from jacket to normal shirts.
