A N S W E R :

The two essential roles of ribosomes during the process of translation are as follows —

  • Ribosome provide a surface for the bidding of mRNA in the groove of the smaller subunit of the ribosome.

  • As the larger Subunit of a ribosome has peptidyl transferase on the ' P ' site of it, therefore, It helps in the joining of the amino acids by the formation of peptide bonds.

Answer:

Ribosome plays an essential role during translation in the following two ways: i. It acts as the site for protein synthesis. The two subunits help in the synthesis of protein, the smaller subunit forms a protein synthesizing complex with mRNA , whereas the larger subunit acts as an amino acid binding site.
