hello friend...!!
FUNCTION'S OF PLASMA MEMBRAME :
1)it protects intracellular organelles from the outside environment.
2) it selectively allow the molecules to move in and out of the cell, gases such as carbon-di-oxide and oxygen passes through diffusion where else small particles like sugar passes through a process called passive transport.and large particles such as sodium and potassium are transported through active transport ( utilisation of ATP molecule ) . water is transported by osmosis process.
3) it establishes communication between cells .
4) it engulf or expel substances in and out of the cell through endocytosis (or) exocytosis respectively.
hope it is useful...!!
