Answer: From the data, in order to calculate the range we need to find the maximum value of T and minimum value of T.

So, max = 5 ⁰ c and min = -8 ⁰ c

Therefore, Range of the data = Max Value - Min value

                                                   = 5 - (-8)

                                                   = 5 + 8 = 13

Hence, your ans is 13.

  • The range of the data is 13.

{\textbf{\color{lavender}{\underline{Step - By - Step Instructions :}}}}

Given :

  • The temperatures in ⁰ c for 10 days — -6, -8, 0, 3, 2, 0, 1, 5, 4, 4.

To Find :

  • The range of the given data.

Solution :

First arranging the given data in ascending order

=> -8, -6, 0, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5.

  • Now, the lowest temperature in the list is -8.

  • And the highest temperature in the list is 5.

Finding the range :

To find the range of the list, we'll subtract (take away) the lowest temperature from the highest.

=> 5 - (-8)

=> 13

∴ This gives a range of 13.
