Thank you so much for this answer. The Literacy rate of Haryana between 1990 and 2000 has increased by over three folds, due to the efforts of the State and Center governments. Today, the literacy rate of men and women in Haryana is 78.49 and 55.73 respectively. Women still fare poorer than men, but there are no doubts that the situations has really improved in the last 20 years.
Haryana is now one of the more educated States in the country
