\sf\underbrace{\star \: Alliteration\: \star}

Alliteration is the close repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of successive words (initial alliteration) and within words (internal alliteration).

\underline{\pink{\bf{\purple{\dag}\:Examples\; from \;the \;Poem:-}}}

\purple{\sf \orange{\mapsto}\:a \:single\:body\;breaths\; }

('b' sound is repeated at the beginning of each word)

\green{\sf \blue{\mapsto}\:Or\: sleep, \;and\; strength\; }

('s' sound is repeated)

\sf\underbrace{\star \: Metaphor\: \star}

A figure of speech in which a word or phrase (which is not linked directly) is used to describe an object or action through comparison.

\underline{\pink{\bf{\purple{\dag}\:Examples\; from\: the\: Poem:-}}}

\purple{\sf \orange{\mapsto}\:beneath \;all\:uniforms,\;a\:single\;body\;breaths\; }

'Uniforms' here basically stand for militaries that different countries in world have. These uniforms may be different in colours, design, shape and culture but people donning them are same anywhere in the world.

\green{\sf \blue{\mapsto}\:war's\;long\;winter\;starv'd\; }

Here the starvation experienced during unproductive and harsh winters describes the want and hunger faced during what time. Both this condition lead to ultimate destruction.
