According to me both literary and archeological sources are important for writing history.

Archeological resources and finding an important role in writing history as archeological facts presents real information about any object or place while literary sources such as manuscripts which were written by the people themselves and books written on historical facts and information also has an important role in writing history.

Thus both the factors are very important in this regard.
