Answer:

The correct answers to the problems are given as follows:

(i) In the poem, "The guest house", human beings are being compared to a guest house where people come and go, here the poet represents the temporary feelings that come and go inside the human mind as the people who come and go out of the guest house.

(ii) The poet says wants us to welcome and persevere every emotion which comes as a guest in our mind, whether they make us happy or sad, angry or confused, stressed or relieved. The poet asks us to be grateful for all the emotions which are residing within our mind as they act as a light to guide us.

(iii) The message we can learn from the poem, "The guest house", is how each emotion, be it happy or sad, anger or confusion, or anything prepares us for the challenges we have to face in our life and how we should be grateful for those experiences and the emotions generated by the experiences. The poet wants us to not hold any grudge towards any of the emotion/experience and persevere it as it will guide us to a bright future.
